What is Sober Living?
Much of the success of achieving long-term recovery depends on the level of support an individual has in their home environment. Research has consistently demonstrated that social support plays a crucial role in addiction recovery, enhancing motivation, accountability, and resilience while reducing the likelihood of relapse. For those who do not have a strong support system at home, sober living offers a solution.
Sober Living + Outpatient Treatment or IOP
Sober living offers substance-free housing for individuals in outpatient addiction treatment programs or following the completion of a residential treatment program. Sober living programs often act as a stepping stone that allows the individual to stabilize in recovery before transitioning back home.
Sober living homes are overseen by a house manager. The house manager may or may not reside at the sober house itself. Sober living environments operate under a collection of house rules to be adhered to by the residents. The house rules help to maintain a drug and alcohol-free living environment, as well as to provide order, safety, and cleanliness.

I absolutely love this IOP. I came here for almost 6 months. Staff was very nice respectful and really fun but very professional at the same time. I would definitely recommend this program if you are looking for a good educational IOP.

This Recovery Center, is absolutely the best around! I have been here a couple months & already feel so comfortable with every one of the staff members. Thousand Oaks Sober Living During Outpatient Treatment
An individual enrolled in an outpatient treatment program such as Arrive Recovery Center’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) or intensive outpatient program (IOP) may elect to reside in a sober living home instead of returning to their own home. This provides an added layer of support and protection in early recovery. This combination of aftercare and transitional housing provides flexibility that inpatient treatment does not, allowing the individual to engage in work and parenting duties outside of treatment hours while offering a safe, substance-free living environment.
